Wednesday Evening Walks with the CNY Land Trust

Join us for a series of evening nature walks planned for the upcoming summer. Each walk focuses on a specific topic and will be led by an expert on the subject. All walks begin at 6:00 p.m.

June 23, 2018 – Garden Tour & Craft Sale

Celebrate the Summer Solstice at Sycamore Hill in Marcellus, one of Central New York’s Most Stunning Gardens! All proceeds benefit CNY Land Trust in its work to protect local natural areas. June blooms at Sycamore Hill!

May 12, 2018 – Spring Wildflower Identification Walk at Friendship Woods

Join us for a spring wildflower identification walk at Friendship Woods led by local botanist, Joe McMullen. This CNY Land Trust preserve offers a nice mix of wetlands and upland forest habitats with many spring wildflowers. Trees and shrubs common to the diverse forests in this area will also be covered.

May 19, 2018 – Bird Watching Walk at Great Bear

Come out to get to know the birds of Great Bear and how you can protect where they live! CNY Land Trust volunteer Matt Young, Collections Management Leader at the Macaulay Library, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, will lead the walk. This event is free and open to the public.

October 25 – Great Bear Campaign Celebration

Join CNY Land Trust to celebrate a successful campaign for Great Bear! Wednesday, October 25, 2017, celebrate the successful campaign for Northern Great Bear and Whiskey Island, with Friends of Great Bear and CNY Land Trust from 6-9pm at Duskee's Sports Bar and Grill, 8 Bridge Street, Phoenix. Everyone welcome and appropriate for all ages.
