Looking for Volunteer Opportunities?
The Central New York Land Trust counts on volunteers to care for its 46 preserves located in Onondaga and Oswego Counties in New York. Plenty of opportunities for stewardship, or caring for the land, are available by volunteering with CNY Land Trust’s Stewardship Committee. Stewardship takes many different forms and the CNY Land Trust welcomes:
- corporations and their employee groups
- community service organizations
- Boy Scouts, including Eagle Scout Candidates
- Girl Scouts
- youth and student groups of any kind
In addition, CNY Land Trust is seeking volunteers to act as Preserve Stewards. These volunteers check on one or two of our properties monthly to make sure that everything is as should be, and may even be called in to help if there are any issues with their particular property.
